1980 Car of the Year nominees.
OK, there’s more than three so pick extras to burn. Should not be hard.

Really, there are only three since the Phoenix/Citation/Skylark/Omega and Tbird/mark are the same :)
DD X-cars
Track Tbird (probably the most aftermarket support)
Burn Mirada

It says something when every single car of the year is objectively worse than a Renault Le Car.

DD: uhhh uhhh . . . pass
Track: uhhhhhh . . . The Mirada I guess
Burn: EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. ONE.

Thats what happens when you only allow domestics because literally all imports were better.

The Mark VII is on the Panther platform; The Thunderbird is a fox platform.

DD - Mark VI
Track - Tbird because fox platform and Windsor V8
Burn - The rest. With gusto.

Still, both have plenty of aftermarket support :)

Ha! Learned to drive in 1980 Citation. Was much better than the 78 Fairmont that made my mom cry from its unreliability. The night before they traded it for an 86 Accord coupe I went out and totally tore it up. Sounded like a diesel when they took it in to trade (had already negotiated deal) Actually the Citation was reliable, just cheaply built.

DD: Mark VI, I love a comfy cruiser.
Track: Mirada, it would be fun to make one of those into a sleeper.
Burn: T-Bird
Somebody please erase all memory of: X-body GM cars. Those were all garbage, with no redeeming features. This is coming from a GM guy, who lives some vehicles that are objectively horrible.
